Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 June, 2027

This Privacy Policy explains how My Weekly Eats (“My Weekly Eats,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit myweeklyeats.com (the “Site”), read our content, subscribe to our email list, or use our nutrition services.

My Weekly Eats is operated by Ashley, based in the State of California, United States. By using the Site or our services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Health information notice: My Weekly Eats provides nutrition information and, where applicable, individual nutrition consulting. We are not a licensed medical provider, and our content and services are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing here creates a provider–patient relationship unless you separately engage us for paid services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what is collected automatically, and what we receive from third parties.

a. Information you provide directly

  • Contact and newsletter data: name and email address when you subscribe, comment, or contact us.
  • Nutrition service / client intake data: if you purchase or inquire about a nutrition consultation, we may collect your name, email, phone number, billing address, and health-related information you choose to share (dietary habits, goals, allergies, conditions, medications, height/weight, and similar details). [Delete this bullet if the Site does not sell services.]
  • Payment data: if you pay for a service, payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (see Section 4). We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
  • Communications: the contents of messages you send us by form, email, or chat.

b. Information collected automatically When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system;
  • pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit pages, and clickstream data;
  • cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6).

c. Information from third parties

  • Analytics and advertising partners;
  • affiliate networks, when you click an affiliate link on our Site;
  • email marketing platform engagement data (opens, clicks).

Sensitive personal information. Health, dietary, and biometric-adjacent details you provide for a consultation are treated as sensitive personal information under California law. We collect and use it only to provide the service you requested and do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • deliver, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
  • send our newsletter and marketing emails (with your consent, and you can unsubscribe anytime);
  • provide, personalize, and follow up on nutrition consultations you request;
  • process payments and keep records required by law;
  • respond to your questions and requests;
  • measure content performance and understand our audience;
  • detect, prevent, and address security issues or misuse;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not use health or sensitive information for advertising or profiling.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to run the Site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support affiliate tracking. Categories we may use:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Site to function.
  • Analytics cookies — e.g., Google Analytics, to understand usage.
  • Affiliate cookies — set when you click an affiliate link, to attribute referrals.
  • Marketing cookies — for email and advertising performance, where used.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, our cookie banner. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality.

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry-standard response, so we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We do honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) as required by California law.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf — e.g., hosting, email marketing ([e.g., Mailchimp / ConvertKit]), analytics ([e.g., Google Analytics]), and payment processing ([e.g., Stripe / PayPal]).
  • Affiliate networks ([e.g., Amazon, Rakuten]) — when you click an affiliate link, they may set cookies to track referrals. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not disclose health or sensitive personal information to third parties except the service providers strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested, or as required by law.

5. Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not influence our editorial content.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Client service records are retained as required by applicable recordkeeping rules and then deleted or anonymized.

7. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information);
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide our services;
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.

How to exercise your rights. Email us at olenland47@gmail.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity before responding and reply within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. California residents under 18 who are registered users may request removal of content they posted.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
